FAYOUM ART CENTER
A creative meeting place housing a museum of caricature in the Middle East, with a collection of artists' caricatures.
Created in 2006, by the famous contemporary painter, Mohamed Abla, this centre is a space for meeting and creation between local, national and international artists. The centre provides artists with several large studio spaces, an art library, living spaces and a common dining room to foster collaborations. The centre also houses the first cartoon museum in the Middle East, which has an extensive collection of caricatures by artists such as Sarukhan, George El Bahgoury and Ahmed Toughan.
