Mastaba featuring a main chapel with a marvellously delicate composition of reeds and papyrus.
It is considered one of the masterpieces of bas-relief art. If you only had one mastaba to visit, it should be this one. The inscriptions carved on the walls show that Ti was a prominent figure in the king's court. He held the position of Director of the hairdressers of the Great House, which made him a close associate of the sovereign. The serdab no longer houses his original statue, which is kept in the Cairo museum. Opposite the serdab, the main chapel has a marvellous composition of reeds and papyrus of extreme delicacy.
