It's the only lodge in Sequoia National Park (there are three others on the Kings Canyon side). Wuksachi Lodge is therefore an interesting stop-off point for coffee, lunch or sleep. Built like a mountain chalet in wood and stone, this pretty lodge has around a hundred rooms. They're beautiful and cosy. Here, you have a front-row seat to explore the Giant Forest at first light. The restaurant serves tasty wild trout, sandwiches, salads and, above all, delicious pizzas.

Das Abendessen und das Frühstück waren sehr gut und preislich für die Qualität und die Lage der Lodge angemessen.????????
I should have had lower expectations for the hotel itself, and then it may have been a better experience. I thought paying $400 a night for a hotel would have provided just a little bit more service or some hospitable touches. It didn't seem like they cared much about the guest experience, and none of the employees seemed to want to be there.
We drove for over an hour up the mountain during a pretty significant winter storm. The drive up was quite an adventure and not at all an easy thing to do in those conditions. All I wanted was a warm cup of coffee after our 8 hour (total) drive through a storm. I saw fresh urns of coffee in the lobby, but there were no cups. Those had to be purchased from the bar, but the bar wasn't open, so I wasn't "allowed" to have their coffee. It's the most ridiculous policy I have ever seen in a $400 a night hotel. It's really the little touches like that which make a hotel experience enjoyable or not, in my opinion.
Overall the customer service was lacking, especially in the restaurant. It was Easter weekend, so perhaps they were short staffed.
I would not stay at Wuksachi Lodge again. There are better ways to stay in and around the park.
I like the plate with two black bears, and I asked him to give me a new one, because it’s a sample from shelf, it has old color, yellowing stickers, and some dust. He didn’t notice my request and put it into a paper bag. My sister came over here and asked him again if he can give me a brand new one. He replied that “we only have this one, sorry”
Then, I found a lot of the same plates in the showcase beside the exit door.
I felt be deceived and I felt upset and why he lost his honesty and passionate of his work.
If he’s willing to check the stock or ask his colleagues, it’ll be different.
I told him I will drive back to San Francisco and I’m traveling from overseas please pack it or it’ll break,
I think he didn’t package it very carefully. Fragile items should have boxes or anti-collision measures, But maybe he only has paper bags and I can forgive him.
But why he can’t take a new one to me? Especially since I already said I was coming for a long distance. Maybe my life I’ll only be here one time. I can’t understand and his behavior left me a sad experience here.
