Cathedral with wooden roof and facade of Italian baroque architecture.
Saint-Jacques - or Saint-Jacob or San Giacomo, depending on what you call it - is the Catholic cathedral on the island of Corfu. Originally inaugurated in 1553 and restored in the 1970s, the church was damaged by bombing during the Second World War. The basilica's roof is made of wood. The church's facade resembles Italian Baroque architecture, reminiscent of the religious buildings seen in Venice.
