RED MULLET
Discover seven centuries of history with a visit to one of Orne’s most beautiful châteaux.
A remarkable ensemble of brick and stone, this château bears witness to seven centuries of history. Acquired by the French state in 1936, this historic monument was inhabited for 15 generations by the same family: the Le Veneur family, followed by the Carrouges and Blosset de St Pierre families. You can visit all the rooms, from the kitchens to the apartments. The gallery of family portraits is impressive, as is the recently restored "Bishop's Room". A formal garden completes the ensemble. The site hosts numerous cultural events.
