HOTEL GRAND' ITALIA * * * *
Hotel located in front of the train station offers comfortable rooms mixing the charm of the old with modern comfort
The Grand'Italia is a perfect example of Liberty architecture. Atlantes, caryatids (statues supporting the balconies) and interlacing plant motifs: Italian Art Nouveau covers the façade (1909). This emblematic building is conveniently located opposite the train station, and will appeal to both business and leisure travelers alike . You'll find a range of comfortable rooms, combining old-world charm with modern comforts (TV, wifi, air conditioning, parking). A great downtown address to remember.

The room was spacious, but the grime and dirt were evident everywhere. The furniture was old and worn, with no attempt to update or renovate. The bathroom was a nightmare, with a shower that looked like it belonged in a horror movie. The ancient plumbing and faulty electrical outlets only added to the woes.
The staff, while friendly, seemed overwhelmed and unable to keep up with the demands of maintaining a hotel in such a state of disrepair. The cleaning was abysmal, with dust and dirt covering every surface. It was clear that the hotel had not been properly maintained in years.
The history of the hotel is a sad tale of neglect and decline. Once a symbol of luxury and sophistication, the Hotel Grand'Italia has fallen victim to poor management and a lack of investment. It is a shame to see such a beautiful building fall into such disrepair.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, and I would advise others to avoid it at all costs. The Hotel Grand'Italia is a relic of a bygone era, and it is time for it to be put out of its misery.
