ORATORIO DI SAN GIORGIO E SCUOLA DEL SANTO
Oratory containing one of the great cycles of frescoes dating from the fourteenth century near the Scuola del Santo and its chapel.
The Oratorio di San Giorgio, a chapel built in 1377, preserves one of the greatest cycles of frescoes of the fourteenth century. Created between 1378 and 1384, they represent the lives of St. George and Christ. In the building next door is the Scuola del Santo, home to the Brotherhood of St. Anthony, active since the seventeenth century. On two floors, the Scuola houses a chapel and the chapter house. Titian participated in the decoration of the complex(Miracles of Saint Anthony of Padua, 1511).
