This villa is known as one of the most successful works of a great architect
Built in 1556 by Palladio at the request of the Venetian brothers Alvise and Nicolo' Foscari, this villa is considered one of the architect's most successful works. This reputation is undoubtedly due to the harmony of its lines, the cycle of frescoes by Zelotti and its exceptional location in this cove of the Brenta. The term "Malcontenta" (unhappy), on the other hand, comes from a revolt of the little hands that worked on the property.
