One of the ancient museums of the Veneto region with a collection of paintings, works by Jacopo dal Ponte and Antonio Canova.
One of the oldest museums in the Veneto region, it holds an important collection of paintings and the largest group of works by Jacopo dal Ponte, known as da Bassano because he was born here in 1510, as well as extraordinary testimonies of the work of Antonio Canova. It has been housed in the former convent of San Francesco since 1840. Among the most beautiful works in the collection are the magnificent Flight into Egypt by Jacopo da Bassano and a Deposition from the Cross by Perugino, as well as some Tiepolo and Longhi. A small archaeological section closes the exhibition.
