CASTELLO SCALIGERO
Old castle housing a small museum of natural history of Monte Baldo and Garda.
Dating from the 13th-14th centuries, the castle is dominated by an imposing square white tower, a true symbol of the town, surrounded by crenellated ramparts overlooking Lake Garda. Inside, a small natural history museum presents the ecosystem of Monte Baldo and the lake, with nine rooms dedicated to local flora and fauna and the natural features of the lake environment. The former powder magazine, built under Austrian rule, pays tribute to Goethe, with drawings of the poet made during his stay on the lake.
