LA MADONNA DEL FRASSINO
Sanctuary whose facade dates back to the sixteenth century and which houses ten chapels decorated with remarkable frescoes.
At about 3 km from Peschiera there is the Sanctuary of the Madonna of the Ash Tree, whose façade dates back to the XVI century and which houses ten chapels decorated with remarkable frescoes. The sanctuary was built to preserve the miraculous Madonna in clay. The legend tells that the Madonna appeared in an ash tree to a peasant before protecting him from the attack of a snake. A peaceful place, pleasant to visit. Managed by the Franciscan order, the sanctuary hosts a procession every year on May 11th that evokes the apparition of 1510.
