This intimate restaurant is located in the center of Bardolino. It has a rustic and warm decoration. Its cuisine is typically local and so are its wines. Managed by Anna, Suzy and Marie, it cultivates simple recipes, faithful to the flavors of the territory (chestnut soup and pheasant broth, carpaccio of bull meat marinated in extra virgin olive oil from Lake Garda). We booked this restaurant after seeing it listed on the michelin guide. We therefore assumed that the high prices would be worth it, also due to the high rating on Google. However, the food was disappointing and after the two course menu, we left feeling still hungry.

Al di sotto delle mie aspettative. Abbiamo cenato in 2, ad agosto 2021, allettati dal fatto che fosse consigliato su Guida Michelin. De gustibus… a me, non ha colpito. Partiamo dai vini. Non hanno un personale di sala qualificato, che ti indirizzi verso un vino da abbinare ad un piatto specifico. E peggio ancora, non aprono la bottiglia al tavolo ma ti portano il calice già pieno dalla cucina. Errore grossolano per chi è di Bardolino, la città del vino. Passiamo alla parmigiana di tartufo, in realtà una sorta di tortino (credo di pasta fillo o simile), pieno di parmigiano e tartufo. Era stato tanto lodato dalle guide turistiche, ma personalmente mi ha deluso. Il tartufo praticamente insapore… si sentiva solo il parmigiano. Abbiamo preso poi una porzione di toro è una di maialino con albicocche. Il toro l’ho solo assaggiato, ma il maialino era praticamente grasso con poca carne sopra. Un piatto assolutamente disgustoso. Non si riusciva nemmeno a tagliarlo col coltello. E poi, prefiggo che sono gusti… se il maialino è con le albicocche e salsa di quest’ultime, perché c’è un contorno di cicorie e bietole? Per contrasto? Personalmente mi hanno rovinato solo il palato.
Il dolce non lo abbiamo preso. Costo della cena, giusto ma non basso. Non è un posto che consiglio a chi è di buona forchetta. Porzioni piccole e prezzi alti.
