FLORIDA BAY
Maritime part of the park with a population of dolphins, manatees and crocodiles offering a guided boat tour
Florida Bay is the southern tip of the Florida mainland. It is in this estuary that the fresh water of the Everglades meets the salt water of the Gulf of Mexico. Accessible from Flamingo, south of the Everglades, or from the Keys, this marine portion of Everglades National Park is composed mainly of mangrove islands and is home to populations of dolphins, manatees, and crocodiles. To explore it, two options: guided boat tour or kayak rental. In order to avoid mosquitoes, we recommend you to go between November and early April.
