VILLA CORDELLINA LOMBARDI
Visit this villa with a facade of four Ionic columns topped by a tympanum carved with the emblem of the Cordellina
Carlo Cordellina Molin, a famous Venetian lawyer, inherited the Villa of Montecchio from his uncle Molin in 1735. The work continued until 1760 and was entrusted to the architect Giorgio Massari. Massari, faithful to the tradition of Palladio, took up the solution of the façade portico with four Ionic columns surmounted by a tympanum carved with the emblem of the Cordellina. The painter Giambattista Tiepolo was commissioned in 1743 to decorate the great hall with monumental frescoes.
