CASTELLI DI GIULIETTA E ROMEO
Castles with panoramic view on two small hills suggesting a route with a pleasant path.
Just a 10-minute drive from Montecchio Maggiore town center, the two castles face each other on two small hills. All that remains of Romeo's castle (1354) is the tower and keep, destroyed by the Venetians in 1514. However, it is possible to climb up to the remains and follow the pleasant path linking the two monuments, which offers a sublime panoramic view of the region. Opposite, Juliette's castle seems to answer from the top of its tower.
