Garden to touch, feel, taste, see and hear the most curious things nature has to offer in Grande Montagne

To touch, feel, taste, see and hear what nature offers that is most curious, delicious or pretty... go to the first and only botanical garden of the island, gathering, in a green setting, a beautiful part of Rodrigues' flora: fruit trees, flowers, aromatic and medicinal plants and endemic species unique in the world. Guided visit, and it is fortunate, because how to know or recognize so many species and especially their characteristics, particularities, virtues? To prolong the visit, have lunch at Jeannette's.

Beautiful little garden depicting plants according to the five senses we use in everyday life: smell, touch, taste, hearing and vision. Very instructive as explained by a knowledgeable guide.

Lovely lady who took us around. Not a huge amount going on there, but if you love unique plants, and not so unique plants, it’s worth a walk through. The majority of the unique plants were actually outside the gardens entrance.

It may be interesting for tourists but not as much for mauritians. Learned some new medicinal use of certain plants. More for children and ado. Guide was well versed in her speech.
