Was disappointed with the lack of professionalism when dealing with an issue by a guard which should have been delt with by management. Food expensive and bland. Not a good experience at all.

The hotel is in the coldest part of Zimbabwe but yooooo, you wont even feel the cold in the rooms. The electric blankets are just a touch above the rest. I Love love love this resort! Would definitely go back.

It may be twenty years or even more since I was last in the corridors and on the wooded dam of this place...yet across time the memories remain.

Such a beautiful resort!! We reserved 2 villas and each could stay 5~6 people. And the staff helped us to make some camp fire just outside the villa and we drank and talked and had a really wonderful night! And the landscape in the resort is absolutely breathtaking and tranquil. I wish I could stay longer.

Btw, I went there in May 2017 and to be honest the restaurant was not the best. Don’t know if there is any improvement now.

The best part of this place is the beautiful location. I was there on the 12th of this month for lunch as my place of stay was else where.
It was windy and cold and we wanted to eat lunch after a four hour drive and go to our stay.
The hotel had some conference going on and they didn’t let us sit anywhere indoor and we had to sit out in cold and wind uncomfortably waiting for food.
After 45 minutes the food arrived and it was pathetic. The chicken sandwich was sad and looked stale. The vegetable pasta was just pasta and cheese with a hint of onion and tomato. I would give them a 1 out of 10 on customer service and food.
I won’t recommend this place .

Hotel is old. If you will try to got room at reception manager will charge you 250 (!) USD. But they will give you card of the manager with home you can negotiate.. Food at the restaurant is expensive, and being honest bad. Fresh trout, but cook made everything to spoil it. Definitely not the best place at all...

We went there for dinner to spoil ourselves.
We ordered rump steak medium rare.
I think we got a very thin piece of brisket very well done!!
We sent it back, 3 of us, and asked for rare steak.
It came back better cooked, but awful thin tough meat on top of frozen vegetables.
We maybe had a third of the food on our plate as we were so hungry and sent the rest back to the kitchen.
We were discounted with one meal off the bill.
It was very overpriced and extremely disappointing.
The staff were great and very apologetic.
We will never go there again!!!!

Great experience, ofcourse the menu needs an overhaul. The rooms are exceptional, the magnificent pine trees and amazing lake. Great place for relaxing. Loved this place, however the only drawback was the food. For the price they charge they should have great food. Their food is bland, they don't even make an effort. There are no alternative eating venues for about 20 to 30 miles. So you're stuck with this bland food.

Do I need to say anything else??? The place is magic the scenery, apear to came out of a movie set.

It is unbelivable

The only problem is the reservations, are true nightmares, plus the last time i wanted to book they said there where no family rooms in the hotel, but a couple of months back i was able to book one family room.

Also they dont have proper reservation systems, or have and are dated, they need payment prior to arrival, which is difficult, given the remote location

Conveniently located and accessible by a tarred road.
The workers are so friendly and warm. We were welcomed by one staff member called Trevis, and he would regularly check on us to see if we were comfortable.

The rooms have been upgraded, with modern showers and other accessories. The electric blankets ???? are always the icing of the room experience.
Wonderful scenic views of the mountains from our room made the experience Wonderful.
