LAGUNA YALAHAU
A small island with nearly 140 different species of birds, where you can discover pink flamingos, frigate birds and grey pelicans
During your stay in Isla Holbox, you cannot miss visiting the Yalahau lagoon and the famous "Ojo de agua", a pool of crystal clear water that was used to revitalize travelers in the time of the ancient Mayans. In the middle of the Yalahau lagoon, there is also a small island, Isla Parajos, which is home to nearly 140 different species of birds and will allow you to discover pink flamingos, frigate birds and grey pelicans. The more athletic visitors can choose to swim with whale sharks (from June to September) or learn to kitesurf.
