YUCATAN OUTDOORS
Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve offers a unique kayaking and snorkeling experience. Visitors can explore the reserve's magnificent mangrove labyrinths and calm waters by kayak, following ancient Mayan trade routes. The reserve is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and offers plenty of wildlife-watching and photo opportunities. After kayaking, visitors can snorkel in a mangrove cenote, one of the longest underwater passages in the world. Tours are led by experienced and passionate guides, and groups are limited to around 5 people for a more personalized experience. No previous kayaking experience is necessary, but it is recommended that you enjoy this activity before signing up for the tour. All necessary equipment is provided, as well as local fruit, healthy snacks and purified water. Visitors should bring light, comfortable clothing, a bathing suit, towel, comfortable shoes, eco-friendly sunscreen and mosquito repellent.
