ZONA ARQUEOLÓGICA DE XCAMBO
An important port in the northern region of the peninsula, especially for the salt trade in Telchac Puerto.
Xcambo was in pre-Columbian times an important port in the northern part of the peninsula, especially for the salt trade. The two main buildings, the Templo de la Cruz and the Templo de los Sacrificios face each other. Architecturally, the site is not very impressive, but its charm lies precisely in its isolation, or perhaps in this small Catholic chapel with a palm roof built in the last century from the ruins, the Capilla de la Virgen.
