During Advent, Barbados gets ready for Christmas. On the day itself, take a stroll with the Bajans in Queen's Park, dressed to the nines.
Barbadians are very religious, and celebrate Christmas with fervor. During the Advent season, houses are decked out for the "House pick-down", the great Christmas clean-up. They are adorned with garlands of lights, fir trees abound and carols are sung, especially during the Carols by Candlelight on the second Sunday in December. On Christmas Day, the Bajans attend mass. Why not follow in their footsteps (at St. Michael's Cathedral, for example) before taking part in the traditional stroll through Queen's Park, dressed to the nines?
