The Grand Kadooment is the crowning glory of the Crop Over festivities (the celebration of the end of the sugarcane harvest), a grand carnival that brings together over 15,000 people in the streets of Bridgetown for a long parade from the National Stadium to the Mighty Grynner Highway. A whirlwind of colorful costumes, masks and dancing to the sounds of soca and calypso, the Grand Kadooment is the ultimate expression of joie de vivre and Bajan culture. Undoubtedly the most important event of the year.
