FÊTE DE L'INDÉPENDANCE

It's the culmination of a whole month of events celebrating independence, with a military parade and night-time illuminations.
November 30, the day on which Barbados declared its independence from the United Kingdom, is also the island's national holiday. Throughout November, various events are organized all over the island (fairs, concerts, community events...). But on the day itself, during the official celebrations in Bridgetown, don't miss the traditional military parade, usually held at the Garrison Savannah, and the illumination of public buildings, where at dusk the city is decked out in blue and gold, the colors of the Barbadian flag.
