This is the busiest market in Barbados and the most central in Bridgetown. It's not as pretty or as big as Cheapside's, but we like its rough-and-ready feel. You'll find everything: fruit, vegetables, baked goods, spices, dried hibiscus to make your own sorrel (flower infusion), grandma's herbal remedies, clothes, handicrafts and Chef Sly's famous stand with its rather... evocatively named fruit juices and vegan cakes. For atmosphere alone, it's well worth a visit.
