A great celebration was held in Amorgos, at the monastery of Hozoviotissa, on November 21, for the Presentation of Our Lady.

A great celebration takes place in Amorgos, at the monastery of Hozoviotissa. Built on a steep cliff, only 5 m wide, it faces the Aegean Sea at 40 m high. Built by the Byzantine Emperor Alexis Comnenus, its creation is linked to the discovery of the icon of the Virgin. It comes to life on the day of the Presentation of the Virgin, November 21. The monks receive for the occasion a large dinner which is held in the refectory.
