DEPARTMENTAL MUSEUM OF RELIGIOUS ART
Museum housing collections of paintings, sculptures, silverware, and cabinetwork dating from the Middle Ages to the present day.
Housed in a former 14th-century warehouse converted into a canons’ house in the 17th and 18th centuries, then restored by Monuments Historiques, the museum near the cathedral was established in 1969. Here you’ll discover collections of paintings, sculptures, silverware, cabinetwork and liturgical ornaments dating from the Middle Ages to the present day. A thousand digitised works are available online in 3D on the Musée d’art religieux de l’Orne website.
