Volcanic environment with a path with many alpine plants, enjoying a simply grandiose view
This 8-kilometre trail runs through a volcanic environment with domes and lava flows, witnesses of ancient eruptions. If you are a good walker, it takes about 2.5 hours to walk there and back. Kerns (piles of stones) are used to mark the path. The view along this hike, overlooking the entire valley, is simply breathtaking and many alpine plants are found along the way. Don't forget to bring your binoculars to give you the chance to see the Dall sheep, which are very present in the area.
