ST NICHOLAS ORTHODOX CHURCH
Church near the sea of Seldovia being part of the history of the city using as a place for worship and teaching
This church is a beautiful testimony of the past. Linked to the arrival of the Russians in the region, the church was originally a simple room near the sea in 1820. The present building is made of white wood with a blue outline, dominated by two beautiful golden crosses. It was built in 1891 with the addition in 1906 of the tower topped by a beautiful octagonal belfry housing the bells. The place is used both for worship and for language teaching.
