Restaurant beaunois proposing the cuisine of the chef Damien Ravion.
L'Expression, is a new restaurant in Beaune that arouses curiosity because its creators, Damien Ravion and Jérémy Brisset both have already a reputation in Beaune, Damien as chef and Jérémy as sommelier. The decoration of l'Expression is sober, stone and wood are very present, in the first room with the high table, the access is put on the open kitchen, in the second, it is the cellar which surrounds the room on 3 whole walls. It must be said that the latter is well stocked, more than 700 references in stock, a cellar built with 30 winemakers and this for 4 years. Not bad! On the price side, the absence of a menu lets you fear the worst, but not in the end, prices are not soaring, several dishes are for 2 or even 3 like the Galician prime rib. Jean Crotet's snail cassolette revisited is anchored to the menu which is renewed according to the market with for each stage of the meal, 3 or 4 choices! The solid oak tables are made to measure, everything is calculated and tells us a story. It's up to you to let them tell you a story. We like the wine list, wide in choice as in price, from 35 €.
