THE HÔTEL-DIEU OF BEAUNE
The Musée de l'Hôtel-Dieu - Hospices de Beaune is a must-see when visiting Beaune in Burgundy. Founded in the XVᵉ century by the Chancellor of the Dukes of Burgundy Nicolas Rolin and his wife Guigone de Salins, this flamboyant Gothic-style Hôtel-Dieu is today a museum that traces the history of Burgundy and medieval medicine in the Christian West.
