Created by Claude Lelouch in the spring of 2016, Les Ateliers du Cinéma is an antenna of its Paris Film Production Company 13. As we know, Claude Lelouche always loved Beaune, a city he chose to create a new place to learn cinema. Beaune is becoming a real Cité du Cinéma, and since 2009 it has hosted the International Police Film Festival in early April. For his first promotion, Claude Lelouche shot with his young apprentice team a feature film in the heart of the Beaunois country. The very intimate conviction will emerge in 2017 setting up a crowd of actors. Each year, Claude Lelouche will surround himself with apprentices selected on a short film. This 6-minute film must be turned with a smartphone. The Cinema Workshops allow apprentices to be immersed in the reality of production, they have in Beaune a professional working tool, recording studio, shooting room, assembly… Installed in a completely refurbished building close to cinemas in Beaune, one can go to discover a unique place, a bar is very often open.
