The Joseph Drouhin cellars are located in the heart of Beaune in the former Parliament of Burgundy and is the showcase for the wines of this world-renowned estate. Founded in 1880, the estate is run by the 4th generation of the family. Véronique, Frédéric, Laurent and Philippe are responsible for the winemaking, management, export and viticulture respectively. The Œnothèque is a fabulous shop where you can buy one of the 90 Joseph Drouhin appellations, including old vintages brought out from the reserve cellar of the house, and others coming from Domaine Drouhin Oregon - DDO - more than 160 ha of vines spread between Dundee Hills and Eola-Amity Hills. In Burgundy the estate owns 73 ha of vines in Chablis, Côte-de-Nuits, Côte-de-Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise, all of which are treated biodynamically. Treat yourself to a visit that takes you past the old Castrum de Beaune through the cellars of the collegiate church dating back to the 13th century. The historical and cultural journey ends with a tasting of a choice of 6 wines. The Oenothèque regularly renews its themed tastings, by reservation and for groups limited to between 8 and 30 people: surprise tastings, Clos des Mouches themed dinner, old vintage tastings, Discovery of Chablis, comparison Burgundy/Oregon .... Some fascinating oenological journeys in perspective. A la carte formulas are possible with themes organized around wine.
