CITY OF CLIMATES AND WINES OF BURGUNDY

The Cité des Climats et Vins de Bourgogne is a network of three wine tourism sites located in three towns: Chablis, Beaune and Mâcon, with three complementary visitor itineraries that highlight the specific winegrowing characteristics of each region and pass on an age-old cultural heritage.

The Cité des Climats et Vins de Bourgogne in Beaune, a true technical feat with its 24 m high spiral, is an example of eco-responsibility, thanks to a reasoned construction approach that is in line with sustainable tourism. The building has already won several awards. The 10-hectare Chartreuse park, planted with 500 trees, and the hundred or so vines on the building's roof make it a green showcase. On the^5th floor, you can visit the bar or the belvedere, with its orientation tables open all year round.

Inside , modern design, interactive multimedia content, a 1,100 m² immersive and sensory tour, wine and culture workshops, a varied program, initiations, tastings, training courses... Visitors are immersed in the world of wine, with a special focus on the climats du vignoble de Bourgogne, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2015. A highly educational introduction to the wines of Burgundy that makes you want to experience things first-hand and continue the experience with a tasting at a winegrower's.

For adults: multisensory tours, cultural activities (exhibitions, guided tours, round-table discussions, themed weekends), customized discovery offers. The official Interprofession School, created by the winegrowers, offers training courses open to visitors.

For children: visit the 7 cabottes, an escape game called "Save the vineyard".

Perceive the nuances of wine in the glass, breathe in its aromas, eyes riveted on the climats from the bar Les Accords, that's what the Cité des Climats et vins offers. Admission includes a wine tasting. For the general public, families, neophytes and connoisseurs alike, this site has been a must-see since it opened in June 2023.
