Founded in 1720, Champy was the1st wine house to be established in Burgundy. The heritage is superbly enhanced with tributes to Gustave Eiffel and Louis Pasteur, who contributed to its reputation. Internationally recognized, Maison Champy joined AdVini in 2016, and a large part of its 21 ha of vines are grown organically. The host was rude in so many ways and not friendly or approachable and it got worse as the tour continued.
There are 30+ people in a single room tasting speaking several different languages and it was nauseating.
The wines were delicious.
The value was not there.
Visit Maison Jappelin in Beaune for a friendlier and better experience and more value for the cost.
Can not recommend to anyone
