DOMAINE DES HOSPICES DE BEAUNE
Founded in 1457, the area of the Hospices de Beaune has gradually expanded thanks to the legacies that have been made to it. Today it has more than 60 hectares, distributed between Pouilly-Fuissé and Gevrey-Chambertin, for the production of more than 40 prestigious names. Since January 2015, she has been a woman who leads her! Ludivine Griveau, aged 36, an agronomist and a oenologist of training succeeds Roland Mass. She comes from Pierre André's home in Aloxe-Corton. Some winemakers, on the advice of their new pechawis, cultivate and maintain with great care this area whose reputation is no longer to be done and whose wines from the year's harvest are sold during the famous auction that takes place on the third weekend of November. All the profits of this sale are paid back to charitable works. Since 1994, the Hospices have a new cellar which ensures the expected quality. The old cellar and the cellars of the Hotel-Dieu are open to the public a weekend in the year, the weekend of the sale of wines. At your diaries!
