The Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary provides care to about 5 000 birds per year, treating on average 20 new birds per day. More than forty different species reside in the hospital, including numerous captive pelicans in captivity. Also hawks, eagles, vultures, crested, herons, ducks, cormorants, crows, gulls, and many varieties of chanteurs and other marine birds.
