AFPA CÔTE D'OR
Afpa, the French National Agency for Adult Vocational Training, is a major operator in vocational training. 1 active person out of 8 has already been trained in one of its centers in France. The one in Chevigny-Saint-Sauveur, and its branch in Quetigny, provide about forty training courses.
For more than 70 years, the Afpa's mission has been to enable all working people, job seekers and employees to acquire the skills needed to access, maintain or return to employment. In Côte d'Or, Afpa welcomes nearly 1,800 trainees per year. The training courses can lead to a certificate or diploma and can be followed on a sandwich course, which allows the trainees to train while working in a company. Personalized support is provided to enable each student to complete his or her professional project, and 120 rooms are available for accommodation. Training in Dijon ranges from hotel and restaurant jobs to new technologies such as community manager, web designer or telecom network for fiber optic installation, as well as construction jobs (tiler, plumber, carpenter, masonry, painter, plasterer, electrician, facade builder, renewable energy, landscape workers, etc.). Industrial trades are also accessible (line operator, welder, boilermaker, etc.). The professions of secretarial work, accounting, management, computer science and commerce are offered in Quetigny.
