Visits by cruise, kayak or water cab to observe the giant icebergs that break off from the body of the glacier
This glacier is the largest of the 38 in Kenai Fjords National Park. Although it is extremely impressive, it is melting at a dramatic rate due to climate change, unfortunately. Several cruise lines depart from Seward and pass near this glacier. It is also possible to go on a sea kayaking trip when the weather is nice and summer and then take on the giant icebergs that regularly break off the body of the glacier or take a water cab.
