The regional association Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Mobilité Électrique was officially founded on March 14, 2009. Part of the Avere-France network, it now has around fifty members. Its mission is to educate and guide institutional and economic players in the energy transition in the transport sector, which is now a necessity in the fight against global warming. The association brings together this new ecosystem of electric mobility, in the industrial, commercial, institutional and associative fields, in order to encourage exchanges between its members and the emergence of new projects.
By providing massive support for the electrification of mobility, France is opting for a green revival of the automotive sector. This ambition is built around actions to :

Significantly strengthen the automotive industrial fabric, which has been hard hit by the crisis at a time when it needs to embark on a genuine revolution: that of the electric vehicle and the autonomous vehicle. According to the Avere France barometer, registrations of electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids (passenger cars and commercial vehicles) have been prolific since 2020. It took 10 years to get 1 million electrified light vehicles on the road in France, and only 2 years to reach 2 million today. By 2024, 1 in 5 new light vehicles will be electric.

Reduced cost. Even more expensive to buy, electric vehicles still benefit from a purchase subsidy, lower energy consumption costs and very low maintenance costs.

Easy recharging on freeways. France's 450 service stations on freeways with tolls now offer a recharging station with several charging points.

BFCME's missions :

Promote the acquisition and use of electric, plug-in hybrid and hydrogen vehicles through education. Many French people are thinking of going electric one day, but taking the plunge isn't that easy. How do you equip your garage with a recharging system? What is the range of batteries? How long will they last?
The association's role is to share information, knowledge and experience, to provide decision-makers with the elements they need to define and implement the best solutions for electric mobility.

Federate the electric mobility sector in Burgundy-Franche-Comté, motivated by sustainable mobility solutions based on electric, rechargeable hybrid or hydrogen vehicles.

Promote electric mobility by organizing conferences, vehicle presentations and events under the BFCME banner, and by participating in events organized by its members.

Training professionals: To help decision-makers (elected representatives, local players, local authority staff) and the real estate world (property managers, real estate agencies, social landlords, condominium boards and homeowners) set up the infrastructure essential to electric mobility, the BFCME association offers free two-hour training courses (provided at least 10 people attend), either face-to-face or via distance learning, throughout the region, to guide homeowners through the process. In 2024, 90 such courses were held. These courses are part of the national Advenir Formations program, run by Avere-France under the aegis of the French Ministry of Ecological Transition and ADEME.

To each his own: BFCME, as a "trusted third party", provides comprehensive information on all the options available to support homeowners and co-owners in their transition to electric mobility, including all the practical details and financial arrangements that fall to each.
