LA POSTE DIJON-GRANGIER
Built where the castle of King Louis XI was built, the Grangier post has made new skin after several months of work. The telegraph building, positions and telephones that followed the castle at the beginning of the th century set a style that combines the paw of the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris with additions in the purest Art Nouveau style! The building has now regained its splendour and reopened its doors in November 2015. The inside of the post now offers customers a space with a new layout of offices, more personalized offers and automated services to limit queues. The more than 1 000 daily clients will also be able to benefit from an urban post relay installed in Dumont Press-Tobacco, 2 Pasteur Street. The aim is to simplify the lives of the city's users by allowing them to deposit their mail or to cancel their parcels as close as possible to them and on extended timetables. Other remote areas are expected to host relays of this type and businesses also operate within the building of the Grangier Square. The renovation of this historic post office is part of a desire to integrate and adapt the heritage to a moving city.
