ÉCOQUARTIER HYACINTHE-VINCENT
A precursor of the eco-districts in the Dijon metropolitan area, this district developed by CDC Habitat (Caisse des Dépôts) has taken the place of the former military hospital, near the Dijon hospital center and a tramway station. Covering more than 7,000m2, it features almost 550 housing units, half of them social rental, in addition to 1,300m2 of commercial space for mixed-use housing. Close to a 4-hectare wooded park open to the public, pedestrians and cyclists are given priority, confirming Dijon's vocation as a capital of urban ecology. Voisin Immobilier, Edifipierre and Kaufman & Broad have sold or are building several residences here.
