GEO CONCEPT

GEO, for Green Expérience Offices, is a subsidiary of Seturec, an engineering and project management firm that has been building, extending and renovating production and office buildings for over 50 years. GEO's values and concept are to bring real innovation to sustainable development, energy savings and the quest for the lowest possible carbon footprint. The construction principle adopted is the use of bio-sourced materials, including wood frames and straw as insulation. It's a promising construction concept, with a number of advantages, including minimal costs and carbon footprints, greater comfort and, ultimately, a real contribution to safeguarding our environment. And it's against this backdrop that Seturec is preparing to set up an industrial site for the production of prefabricated wood-frame panels, a 100% robotized site with a capacity of 450,000 m². Elements wired and finished in the workshop to generate very short construction lead times. Production is aimed at Seturec projects, as well as those of regional architects and developers. The GEO concept will soon be applied to GEO2 and GEO3, commercial buildings with major architectural signatures. A skylight at the heart of the building brings a great deal of light into the rooms; on the roof, a roof top sheltered under a structure of solar panels generates electricity, but also creates a sense of well-being through the living space generated. Optimized geothermal heating, optimum water recovery and management, and external heat regulation using louvers are just some of the solutions chosen to make GEO as virtuous as possible. Another Seturec value-added feature is the hybrid, flexible interior layouts that allow spaces to be co-used according to need. After the first GEO1 building in Toison d'Or, designed for 1,600 m² of R+2 offices, GEO2 and GEO3 are in the pipeline, while projects for student residences, residences for social landlords and senior residences are also under study.
