This Franco-German cultural center is housed in a charming town house, with its majestic façade welcoming passers-by on Rue Buffon. The Maison de Rhénanie-Palatinat has been based in Dijon for over thirty years, and under the direction of Bernhard Schaupp is committed to strengthening relations between the Rhineland-Palatinate and Burgundy-Franche-Comté regions, and to promoting German culture in Burgundy-Franche-Comté. Here, you can learn German in group or individual courses for adults, which will enable you to progress according to your starting level. (six possible levels). There are also courses for younger learners, giving them the chance to discover the German language and culture in a fun way. Students can crown their year's work with a (certified) exam taken on the same premises. Finally, there's a library where you can find German-language press titles, tourist guides and literary works. Lovers of Germany will also appreciate the wide range of activities on offer at the Rhineland-Palatinate House, whose very name celebrates Franco-German friendship. Cultural events and temporary exhibitions abound. One of the most popular events is the annual Rhineland-Palatinate House Festival in June. Every year, more and more people come to enjoy the conviviality and culinary specialties of Rhineland-Palatinate. Not to be missed!
