Domaine Henri Rebourseau, whose history began in 1920, has become a jewel of the Côte de Nuits, whose 13.5 hectares of vines spread between Gevrey-Chambertin and Vougeot produce wines whose demand outstrips supply. Since the Bouygues family joined the estate in 2018, a new winery with remarkable architecture has been built, a state-of-the-art vinification tool with wooden vats and innovative ventilation systems in an enchanting world of stone and wood. The appellations are ideally distributed between Villages, Premiers Crus and Grands Crus, of which there are 5: Mazy, Clos de Bèze, Chambertin, Aux Charmes and Clos de Vougeot. The vines are 100% organically grown, using biodynamic practices, and every effort is made to respect the characteristics of each climate. It's easy to see why it's so difficult to buy the domaine's wines, which are reserved for a loyal clientele of importers. But despite this exclusivity, the De Surrel family remains open to letting wine-lovers discover their heritage, which lies between the narrow streets of Gibriaçoise and the Route des Grands Crus.
