CASTELLO DI MONSELICE
Family residence with kitchen utensils of the time housing 2 museums
This early medieval fortress dates back to the 11th century. Transformed into a residence by the Marcello family, it took on its present appearance at the end of the 15th century. In 1935, Count Cini completely restored the internal furnishings, a layout that still remains today where everything is in its place: tables, seats, beds, various objects, kitchen utensils... as if the inhabitants of the past were still there. Two other museums, the Antiquarium Longobardo, and another dedicated to the architect and designer Carlo Scarpa (1906-1978), complete the visit.
