By far one of the best car rental companies out there. I returned my rental nearly completely out of fuel because my stupid bank deactivated my card on my last day in iceland and Robert was kind enough to provide me with a discount upon arrival

Loved our rental experience- easy and free drop and pick up to the airport. We were helped by Adrian who was very friendly and helpful. We are coming to Iceland again in Summer and would choose this service again

WILD CAMPERS/NORDIC CAMPERS
A NORDIC NIGHTMARE: Never, Never trust these guys, FOLLOW MY ADVICE
We rented a motorhome for a family of five for 20 days last July. I insisted in my mails that being my kids of 20, 18 and 15 years old (adults or nearly adults), we needed a big motorhome, to assure enough room for the five of us. They confirmed me that my motorhome “would have 2 beds at the back, a double bed above the cabin and, for the fifth member of the family, a convertible bed in the table area” (that was explicit in their mails).
Sadly, we discovered just when we arrived the very first day to the Wild Campers/Nordic Campers premises (so, be careful Wild campers and Nordic campers are the same awful company, don´t trust any of them) that our motorhome was NOT AVAILABLE (nobody alerted about us until the last second) and in the ONLY ONE they offered did not correspond to the requirements we had made before booking. It was MUCH SMALLER (for 3 people), instead of the four beds promised in their mails. It only had a double bed for 2 people above the cabin, and the remaining threeshould sleep on a convertible bed at the Table area. Once converted the Table area in a common bed for 3!!!!!, the whole room of the caracan was covered with that matress, without being able to go to the bathroon or to have some free room to move in the motorhome. IT WAS UNACEPTABLE.
BUT instead of apologizing or finding a solution, we spent 2 hours argueing, while the man responsible for the premises, (, the one who arranged the reservation with us by mail, assuring us the five beds and a big motorhome) tried to convince us that this small motorhome was equivalent and it only involved a change of the model, something (in his words) that was allowed. CHANGE OF THE MODEL? From a motorhome with enough room for 5 people and four beds and an additional convertible bed to a clearly smaller one with 2 beds and only a convertible one which occupied the whole interior of the van?
Believe me, the 2 worst hours of my life, suffering their manouvres to cheat us, insisitng that the motorhome offered was equivalent to the one promised. We asked to talk directly with the manager, but apparently he was at a busy meeting and was not posible to deal with anybody else. After these horrid 2 hours argueing we threat them with calling to the Police.
Finally, two members of the team (witnessing form the background and completely ashamed for the unacceptable situation) took the lead and decided to give us another van which corresponded with the characteristics we had arranged, which was booked to be delivered to another family the day after.
But guess what? We thought that our bad experienced had finished, but that van broke down 24 hours later, and when I say broke down is because it suddenly didn not move at all!!!!!. What a nightmare. We need to spend half a day waiting for another van to substitute it.
We had never experienced anything similar before. PLEASE don´t be tempted to hire with WILD CAMPERS/NORDIC CAMPERS because their prices are apparently slighty lower. Now you understand the reasons: Not enough available motorhomes, manouvres to force you to take vehicles not fulfilling the requirements promised, serious mechanical deffciencies in the vehicles (two days later we experienced how another customer also had to change his Nordic Camper motorhome because it also broke down).

The office is a short drive from the airport. A driver will pick you up and take you there. The contract process was a breeze and I was on my way to Reykjavik.

We were very happy with the service, the general kindness and the good organisation of the whole team. Louie closed our rental at 3am in the morning without any complication and we were able to get some coffee and wait for the airport shuttle. Highly recommend this car rental

Buen servicio, ofrecen café y sitio calentito para la espera con sofás. Pero no está al lado del aeropuerto. Te transportan en furgoneta hasta ell lugar donde tienen los coches. Rimas nos atendió muy bien.

Had a great experience with nordic car rental.
We got picked up from the airport within the hour.
We initially tried to rent a Nissan nv200 campervan. When we got there a ford transit connect was the replacement, this was a little bigger and had more features than we expected.
Throughout the journey we had no issues with the campervan whatsoever and it enabled us to travel almost 2000km around Iceland.
When we went to return the campervan we got stuck in some traffic as a snowstorm has come on, meaning we were cutting it fine to make our flight. We needed to be at the airport in 20mins!
We told a staff member, Adrian that we were in a hurry. Adrian dropped us to the airport almost immediately after checks were completed on the car. Nice guy.
We were very happy with the price, service and campervan we recieved especially what felt like the extra mile of service when we were in a rush at the end.

We had a very good experience. Pick up was easy from the airport arrivals and driven to the garage. Anita was very friendly and gave us good advice. She swapped out the small car for a larger 4x4 with snow tyres. It was an older car but did the job well and was more suitable that the one we had paid for. Adrian was also friendly and drop off went smoothly. Couldn't ask for much more really.

Car Pick up:
Anita was welcoming from the start, offered us a delicious coffee and made us feel confident with our rental. She made sure we got the best deal possible and went out of her way to give us a safe and reliable vehicle for our trip. She was super friendly and a great person to help us start our Iceland trip!
Car drop off:
We dropped our car off with Robert and he was absolutely lovely. He was quick to check the car and confirm that there weee no damages. He also then asked about our trip and we chatted for ages! He was very professional and through with what he did. Thank you Robert for chatting to us :)
Tips:
- we had a great experience with them but just to be safe, I would take a video of the car and pictures both when you pick up the car and drop it off. This is so you have proof of what condition the car was in and is in when dropping it off.
- they have lovely cappuccinos from the machine so don’t miss out of them.
- don’t be like us and rent a small car in winter. It pays to have a larger vehicle (4x4) with comprehensive insurance and winter tires/tyres. Thank you Anita for looking after us!
- RESPECT the weather warnings! We’re Canadian and thought we could handle snow. It’s very different here and can turn into “a blizzard” very quickly. This is why you have to have your lights on at all times. Just trust that these are not the roads or conditions you’re used to in winter and take your time. A yellow weather warning in Iceland is probably a red in Canada ????
- we tidied the inside of the car upon drop off but didn’t have to car wash it before returning. I believe there is some leniency around it being winter and returning the car without a wash externally.

Just went to amazing trip on iceland with this rent car company ! Super nice service and some place recommendation from Brother Róbert Mar (go find him if you guys there), he was handling us and give us a mint condition car. Thankyou so much ! Everything was great! Super easy process. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the shuttle driver on the way back to the airport was texting and driving the whole time. Not acceptable.

We booked the dacia duster which is a sick car for Island, it brought us everywhere we wanted to go to. Service was very good as well, friendly guys one gave me a beer and I drank it at the most beautiful spot I have ever been to, thanks to the dacia duster ofc!!!

Ho noleggiato una jeep con loro a Febbraio 24 per 10 giorni (su internet li trovate anche come cheap jeep rental..sono la stessa compagnia). Tutto e’ andato benissimo e il prezzo era conveniente rispetto a tante altre agenzie.
Per la cancellazione volo ho fatto fatica a mettermi in contatto con loro, dopo diversi tentativi ci sono riuscito(consiglio chiamate la mattina dalle 7 in avanti).
Ho fatto assicurazione full (super consigliata perche’ la strada non sempre e’ asfaltata e qualche segno si creerà alla verniciatura o al parabrezza) e non ho avuto nessun problema.
Grazie anche per l’upgrade dell’auto, ho avuto una nuovissima Mitsubishi Eclipse che mi ha accompagnato lungo la mia avventura nel ring circle!
Onestamente non capisco le recensioni negative che ho letto…. Pero’ racconto con positività la mia esperienza

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!
I ended up paying almost double what my initial reservation cost. The website says “disclaimer, young driver feels will apply” so I assumed I was paying it when I paid for the car online, but no. They charged me an extra $200 give or take at the time of pickup. The person who did our pick up was kind of rude, seemed annoyed that I was asking questions about the pricing because of the drastic difference. The car itself was decent but the check oil alert came on a few times, and the wipers were sub par, dangerous for how rainy it was during my time in Iceland. During the drop off, the person checking me out tried to pressure me into leaving a 5 star review. He waited for me to review the company before he called for a shuttle to the airport. He watched online for me to post the review, so I did, then he came and talked to me about it because my initial review stated no one explained to us that we had a fuel discount card. And they did not offer any reimbursement for that either. The shuttle back from the airport didn’t leave until almost an hour after I dropped the car off, even though the van was right outside. The person doing the drop off didn’t want to drive (his words) and so he waited for someone else to get back. Overall, extremely unprofessional behavior and hidden fees. Do not use.

Da evitare assolutamente!! Darei zero stelle ma non si può.
Esperienza pessima sia al ritiro che alla consegna ma la cosa peggiore è stata che alla consegna delle 2 macchine che avevo noleggiato, nonostante avessi l'assicurazione casco, hanno sostenuto che noi avessimo rotto un pezzo di metallo INTERNO alla portiera e quindi mi hanno trattenuto 2200€ dalla carta di credito. Quando ho ritirarto le auto mi sono accertata che non avessero danni all'esterno, non ho controllato le parti interne perchè non sono un meccanico e non abbiamo rotto noi quel pezzo che sicuramente era già così da tempo. Anche se l'avessimo rotto noi è inaccettabile far pagare quella cifra.

Fuyez ! Des beaux voleurs!
Nous avions réserver pour un dacia DOKKER , une fois sur place, ceux-ci nous demande de payer la modique somme de 99€ par jour en plus, pour la caution, je trouve ça normal , en revanche je demande si cette somme me sera rembourser ? ET BIEN NON.
Car je ne possède pas une carte de CRÉDIT mais une carte de DÉBIT, excuse bidon et moisi seulement pour soutirer de l’argent sans prévenir le client, donc soit nous payons, soit nous sommes comme des fruits, sans véhicule, à 19h du soir.
Couple à cela, le véhicule fournis, les phares ne s’allumait même pas, celui ci a été changés , par un autre véhicule , nous avons attendu 1 heure. Le nouveau véhicule marcher bien mais les sacs de couchage etc… n’était pas présent , nous avons du leur rappeler ce que nous avions reserver.
L’équipement fournis pour la cuisine est MAUVAIS , impossible d’allumer un feu , même sans vent.
Ne faites pas mon erreur, recherchez un vrai loueur de véhicule qui n’est pas un voleur.

I rent a 4WD car from Routes Car Rental, but they arrange me with this Nordic Car rental when I arrived in KEF.
It’s good if you didn’t have any problems. But when I got a car accident, they didn’t answer the emergency call!
And they REFUSED to give me a new car because the police didn’t allow them to tow the damaged car to the location they wanted.
They just didn’t care about us at all, leaving us have no car to finish our trip, we have to call a taxi from the accident place to city centre, and rearrange our following trip!
The police’s comments: this is not a good car rental company, no service at all.
It’s good if you didn’t have any problems. But when I got a car accident, they didn’t answer the emergency call!

DES VOLEURS !!!! Après un accident. Pis payons la caution (3000€ c’était prévu jusque la pas de soucis ) , et après le responsable nous imprime une nouvelle facture pour un sois disant radiateur qui coûte 4000€ ( radiateur qui fonctionne nous avons roulé avec le véhicule pendant 2 jours ) , ils nous on retenu de force quitte à rater notre vol , en nous disant que si on ne paye pas cette estimation de coût ( aucune preuve de facture ) on ne repartira pas . FUYEZ VITE
We encountered an issue with the booking being under my friend's name while I wanted to use my credit card for the security deposit. Unfortunately, this led to a deadlock situation. Creating a new booking would have cost us three times the amount we paid online.
After nearly an hour of back-and-forth discussions, we managed to speak with a lady from the management team. As a goodwill gesture, they honoured us with a new booking at the original price.
During the week-long rental period, we experienced no problems with the car. Although it appeared a bit worn-out, mechanically, it functioned perfectly. Since our flight was scheduled for early morning departure, we returned the car to the rental office before dawn and dropped the keys into the designated box. The taxi fare to the airport was unexpectedly high, which underscored the importance of having a car to explore the country at our own pace.
Before our flight departed, I contacted the car rental office, and they confirmed the receipt of the car and assured us they would conduct the necessary damage checks before refunding the security deposit. I can confirm that I did receive the deposit back without any issues.
