ŽEBRÁK CASTLE (HRAD)
Near this village are the austere ruins of a castle built to protect the trade route of Plzeň. In 1341, it became part of the royal heritage. Subsequently, in this capacity, he frequently welcomed King Charles IV during his tours throughout his territory. The building was enlarged by Wenceslas IV, who welcomed foreign delegations and signed treaties. Gradually abandoned in favour of the castle of Točník, it was completely abandoned in 1532 after a fire. What we can see today: a few walls at the top of a hill, an oven and two beautiful cylindrical towers offering a beautiful view of the region.
