CAVES OF KONĚPRUSY (KONĚPRUSKÉ ČESKÝ) OF THE RESERVE OF JESKYNĚ KRAS
These caves are located in Český Kras's natural reserve. They were discovered in 1950 and are open to the public since 1959. This exciting visit will allow you to get down to the bottom of a beautiful 600 m deep cave. Human bones were found, those of a woolly rhino, but also the vestiges of a forge. It extends along the lower reaches of the Berounka River and is known for its beautiful limestone formations, including many caves. Once a month, you can discover them in the way of a speleologist, only with a flashlight.
Inside the Réserve Kras reserve you will dwell in the village of Tetín. See, in particular, around the central square, the church Sainte-Ludmila, the grandmother of Wenceslas Saint (Kostel Sv. Ludmily) and a beautiful Baroque castle (hrad) built around 1288.
