FERME NOUVELLE NORMANDIA
More than a farm, the New Normandia is a real institution. In operation for over 20 years, the former Normandia was originally a small milk production and processing company created by the Sanson family for a little crazy purpose: import breeds of French cows (Holstein, Montbéliard, Abundance, Normandy) and cross them with local ones, and sell locally processed dairy products. Repurchased in 2005 by Charles-Emmanuel Yacé, son of héva growers, rubber producer and CEO of EXAT, the family company has since become the New Normandia. Today, the 100 heads of livestock (including 50 dairy products of which thirty in production) provide 500 liters of milk every day: a challenge when we know that, in Côte d 'Ivoire, the daily production of a cow from a traditional livestock stock is on average 0.8 to 0.9 liter with no more than 180 liters per cow per cow. This great success, the New Normandia owes it to its sustained effort on genetics, improved cow nutrition and increased surveillance of livestock health. The farm today produces pasteurized milk, white cheese, yogurts (1,600 are manufactured and spent a day), coated milk, fresh cream and a local tomb named «Le Bingé», all passed through a well-roasted distribution network from supermarkets to stores Le Teré EXAT (entities of EXAT, there are a fortnight in Abidjan) through direct sale to individuals.
