From the cliffs of Reykjanesviti, located in an atmosphere of end of the world in the south of the peninsula
In an end-of-the-world atmosphere, stroll along a coastline of jagged volcanic rock, flown over by numerous seabirds in summer. On a clear day offshore, you may catch sight of Eldey Island, home to the world's largest colony of gannets (70,000!). Take care on the cliff edges, which can be slippery and dangerous, especially when the wind is blowing. Access via Route 425, some 15 km west of Grindavík.
